Main Ingredients

  • 6 - 12 Eggs
  •  6 Cups of water
  •  2 tsp of sugar
  •  2 tsp of salt
  •  2 Star Anise
  • 1 stick of Cinnamon
  • 2 bags of red/black tea
  • 1 bag of Woolong tea
  • 1 cup of soy sauce
  • 4 cloves of garlic (optional)
  • 2 tsp of Cumin powder (optional)
  • 1 tbs cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions:

  1. First, cook the eggs by bringing them to the boil, leave it for another 5 min.
  2. Transfer eggs into cold water to cool for about 1 min.
  3. Crack all the egg shells gently.
  4. Put eggs into pot with all ingredients and water.
  5. Bring it to boil on medium heat for about 20 min.
  6. Then, turn heat on low and simmer eggs for 1 hour

  8. For best tasting eggs, let it sit in the broth overnight.
  9. Eggs can be eaten hot or cold.
